Both the professional men's division and the professional women's division counted as part of the United Skim Tour (UST), the world's only international professional skimboarding tour.
SpiceSkate® Ambassadors
The professional women's division featured 13 competitors, and the professional men's division featured 35 competitors from across the globe. There were riders from Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Brazil, Florida, Delaware, and California including SpiceSkate® Ambassadors (Gerardo Valencia from Mexico and Bruno Sa from Brazil).

THE VIC WEST
The Vic West took over the waves at Laguna Beach’s Aliso Beach, the fourth stop on the United Skim Tour (UST). SpiceSkate® was proud to be one of the sponsors at the event. Weekend conditions held up with overhead waves, occasional siders and heavy barrels.

ZAP CHAMPIONSHIPS
The culmination of the Skim USA tour each year, the Zap Pro/Am is where the top skimboarders of the world gather to vie for a spot on the podium at the World Championships of Skimboarding. The 40th anniversary of the contest, which was a three-day event from Aug. 12 to Aug. 14 that had live music, great food, and an amazing skimboarding competition, all in the heart of the skimboarding capital of the East Coast, Dewey Beach!

TAC Skimblast
SpiceSkate® sponsored The Eighth Annual TAC Skimblast presented by TAC Apparel Company. This year, the TAC Skimblast took place as a one-day contest on Saturday, June 25th at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz, CA.
As the largest skimboarding contest
in northern California, the TAC Skimblast attracts some of the best professional skimboarders from all around the world. The Skimblast is one of only six stops on the United Skim Tour, the premier professional skimboarding contest circuit. Located just a short distance from downtown Santa Cruz, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, & surf break Steamer Lane, the Skimblast is immersed in some of the most vibrant lifestyle and culture California has to offer.
